The Oklahoma Science Olympiad is the Oklahoma affiliate of the National Science Olympiad, now one of the premiere science competitions in the nation, providing rigorous, standards-based challenges to over 7,5000 teams in 50 states.

The Oklahoma Science Olympiad began over 20 years ago as a program within Putnam City Schools and continues as a program of the College of Mathematics and Science at the University of Central Oklahoma with extensive administrative support from Dr. Beth Allen and the staff and students at the UCO .
