Another Gift to Add to Your List

We have one more gift for you to add to your to do list: A gift to the Oklahoma Science Olympiad through the UCO Foundation!

The membership and tournament fees charged to participating schools don’t come close to covering the costs of producing OKSciOly. Your contribution to the UCO Science Olympiad fund can expand capabilities and offerings to schools and students. As an example, just this year donors to the fund have made significant enough contributions the Science Olympiad fund that OKSciOly will be able to provide medals AND trophies at Regional tournaments for the first time.

Please click the link and make your donation to the UCO Science Olympiad Fund. Thanks!

Next Up: OU College of Engineering Invitational

After a great Invitational Tournament hosted by Jenks High School, (see results at https://scilympiad.com/ok-jenks/Info/TourResults), we now turn our collective attention to Norman and the University of Oklahoma where the College of Engineering will host their first Invitational!

Registration is now open at https://scilympiad.com/ok-ou. All teams, even members of OKSciOly, must register through this site in order to participate in the tournament. Oklahoma Science Olympiad member teams can participate in the Invitational with no additional charge as a feature of their membership. Out-of-state team must show they have membership in their state affiliate and pay a fee of $40 per team.

Not a OKSciOly member school? It’s not too late to join in the fun and active learning that is a feature of the Nation’s most exciting STEM competition. You can bring Science Olympiad to your students and join with the over 6000 Science Olympiad teams nationwide who prepare for and compete in our NGSS aligned STEM events. OKSciOly team registration closes December 31st, 2013. (https://scilympiad.com/ok) Complete the registration before the 31st and send the PO in January! We also have financial assistance and training support for new teams (and returning teams who have not been active post-COVID-19). Contact Bob Melton for details about registration and how you can access funding through the Science Olympiad Incentive Grant from the Science Olympiad Foundation USA.

Come to Norman on January 27th. We’ll be looking for you!
